Lots of stuff

I have collected a lot of stuff out of other peoples discarded items that I saw value in keeping, like electric fans that only needed cleaning and a little lubrication, for example. My house is full of such items of value but what is striking to me is that all these non-biodegradable things have come from this planets natural resources that science and engineering have manipulated into un-natural man made chemicals and materials. Look around and all you’ll see mostly, is stuff made here on Earth. That’s what we should put on the labels. “Made on Earth exclusively from 100% Earth fabricated materials. Discard hazardous waste on some un-safe populated part of our world.”

We are just too proud of discovering and creating new technology for our own good. We should have learned this lesson back when we discovered how to build the atomic bomb. Which, ironically, has only been improved upon.

No ,I am not a hoarder. I don’t like to collect rubbish. I like stuff that is not garbage that is discarded needlessly because it’s often cheaper to buy a new item then to fix or clean the broken one.

Julia Butterfly Hill has awesome presentations concerning what she calls “living in an age of Disposability Consciousness.”

This age of ‘Disposability consciousness’ has ruthlessly attacked ageless traditions excelling with resourcefulness.
