Lost my job

Today I found out that I’ve lost my job. I never felt safe in it. I don’t know what to do now. So depressed. Thinking of how hard I tried to work well. This is all due to the sz! My brain is not working like it used to before I got it. I don’t know what to do.

Been there…done that…got the T-Shirt!

Think of it as an opportunity to find more gainful employment. And enjoy some time off.

What type of work were you doing that was affected by your affliction?

I was working as a clinical care coordinator. Just a fancy title. I have a bachelor of nursing science. So I’m a RN.

My title is “Shipper/ Receiver.”

That’s the title you are given when you aren’t very good at anything and nobody really knows or cares what you do, but they have to name your position something.

Thank you @anon39054230 , I increased risperidone to 6mg and it all stopped and stayed gone amazingly, I’m so happy

Good for you!

On risperidone I got jumpy legs while trying to sleep…twitchy fingers…and low sex drive.

I switched to Abilify because I couldn’t handle the side effects.

But I’m happy that med has worked so well for you. Everybody is different, I suppose.

I hope so. It all depends on whether or not my employer will let me stay on in another capacity.

I feel like everything is falling apart. I hate my life
Just feel so tired. Don’t want to do this anymore.:sob:

Can you not get hired into a position like that under a ‘Disability Circumstance’. Are there not Gov’t programs that will assign you an advocate to find such a job?

Sorry about your job loss. Wish you luck in finding a new one.

No. There’s nothing like that here I’m afraid.

@Sezbot241

I lost my job when I was 30 years old and had to move back in with my parents. (yikes!)

I thought pretty low of myself, but I turned it all around after a few months.

Enjoy some time off…re-evaluate…and don’t lose hope. Just because you weren’t a good fit with this organization doesn’t mean it will be the same with another outfit.

Time to try a different type of job. Not everyone can handle everything and that’s okay.
