I lost 38kg and now my skin is loose and ugly. I look like an 80y.o. I am 33y.o. I want to look nice at the beach.
I don’t want to end up like this man from google:

I dont know what you can do to avoid some loose skin after extreme weight loss. Maybe gaining muscle can hide some?
I would imagine there are probably cosmetic surgeries that could be done to improve appearance, if you want to go that far?
I am afraid of surgeries and its not free, too expensive.
You can ask your doctor to request the surgery if you have kept the weight off for a certain amount of time I believe.
I was one of the fortunately ones who only have gained 20 pounds the last 20 years.
You must get a skin operation. I wish you had public healt Care where you live. You are one of the innocent ones whom fell victim for 2… gen antipsychotics.
Battle scars my dude!
I have just passed 17 lbs of weight loss. Wondering if I will have a loose skin problem in a few months at the rate I am losing.
After Abilify took me all the way to 319 pounds, I went all the way down to 152 on Zyprexa. Just diet and exercising, and no longer being on an AP that really didn’t agree with me.
I look nowhere near as bad as that pic (!) But I do still have loose skin in my tummy, chest, bum, and thighs. Filling in now that I’m back up to 228.
It happens unfortunately. I don’t think you can avoid it much if you want to lose weight. The removal surgery would be the route I would take. I might have some loose skin if I lost the weight I want to as well, not sure.
I think it would be covered also, because it is difficult to clean skin properly when it’s too loose, making it a medically necessary procedure.
Jesus Christ idk what to say
It’s really a shame that loads of psychotropics causes massive weight gain. I wish we could do more for those poor people that are afflicted by
meds caused weight gains.
I exercise to keep my flab at bay…it’s still lightly there but not near as bad as before I started doing isometrics in my upper body. yayy.
I think you will recover from the loose skin. Eat healthy and use good quality moisturizer lotions. I’ve lost 41.7kg at this point but eating a skin healthy diet with healthy fats and using good moisturizing lotion has helped me. I have some loose belly skin and loose neck too, but it’s tightening up. It will take a little while but be sure it will get better. That guy lost like 136kg in a year. You and I have lost a lot for sure but not as much as he did.
