Looks new looks old

So this guy I used to talk to is really trying to get ahold of me, and he knows about everything I’ve gone thru and me having schizophrenia but he doesn’t know what I look like now and I’m just really heartbroken that my medication has put me in this state. Anyone else feel the same?

I wish I could look like I did years ago. I’m embarrassed what I look like now. Just have to accept it I guess.

I don’t think that’s fair. I think we should have meds we can take that we can go out and live on!:sparkling_heart: This life sux!

You have to make the best of it. You have to be really strict with everything if you are going to make it. I just sit around all day doing nothing really. Some people would kill to be able to that all day long. Just go with the flow.

Yeah, I know you’re right, but I just really wish I felt better…:no_mouth:

All my college friends knew me at 180 lbs. Now I weigh 115. I’m sure they wouldn’t recognize me.

Well you are quite lucky I’m assuming?

I was into heavy piano playing in college. I’m sure I couldn’t match it now. I don’t have the same leverage. Lucky?- it depends on what your values are. Nobody nags me about losing weight anymore but I miss my skill at the piano.

I eat so little and the weight just won’t drop. I cut out all ice cream and poptarts but I still slam back the sodas en masse.

When I was in my twenties I often ate a brim-ful bowl of chocolate mint chip icecream with crushed oreos on top for dessert at night. If I ate that way today I’d gain twenty pounds. You’re right the metabolism just slows down, for me it happened right when I hit thirty.

Yeah,

With meds and age its definitely hard to keep the weight off,

I jog everyday and watch my calories and have still managed to put on about 10-15 lbs since getting put on medication.

Where do you find the energy to actually jog? Cause my meds don’t let me have energy to do anything…

I’m on abilify and it makes me restless,

I have to take additional medicine to combat the anxious/restless feeling.

Its more of a nervous energy than a healthy energy.

If you don’t mind me asking what do you take for the restlessness?

Klonopin,

.5mg twice a day.

I take it after my jog.

Ssssshyt I got that shyt too it constipated me something horrible Xanax don’t work and Ativan gave me tardive dyskinesia in my mouth. They’re still talking about putting me on abilify tho. Does it work for you other than being nervous?
