Can people tell me if they’ve had any long-term effects on Abilify? What should I expect. I’m on the 400 mg shot per month. I have been for about a year and a half.
I heard it can cause incontinence…this concerns me

I’ve been on it 10 years.
It gave me high blood sugar. I’m diagnosed with diabetes.
I take Metformin for it and my blood sugar has been fine since I started taking that in 2016.
So get blood tests every year.
My leg muscles seem a little bit stiff because of Abilify.
It increases my anxiety. I take l-theanine and broccoli sprout extract for that. I used to take a benzo but made the switch to those supplements and got lucky with them.

I was on Abilify for about 10 years in the past.
I’m on it now at only 2mg
In the past it gave me high anxiety and rectal incontinence, it still gives me incontinence
It also gave me stiff muscles

Ive been on Abilify since 2003 since I was in my mid 20s now 47 at first I gained alot of weight on it when I first started taking it but now well since 2019 I have been going to the gym 3 to 5 days a week and since I first started at the gym I lost around 50 pounds and have kept it all off and maintained it since then I see no more side effects with Abilify now that I have been on it for many years And still take it to this day helps alot with my paranoia I used to have more now its way less only took six trys in my entire life to find the right combo meds for me I take Abilify 10mg and Lexapro20mg plus Metformin twice a day triamterine blood pressure/water pill Farxiga10mg plus Iron pills but yeah Abilify has had no long term effects for me other than good effects in the long run for me has been a life saver
Oh loosing 50 pounds that’s very much. You can really be proud of yourself.

I have tardive dyskinesia permanently due to abilify
Oh I’m sorry to heat that. I Can tell you that I’ve got hidden TD from the meds I’ve used. So if I don’t take meds that will show up.
@Ghosts same I have to take meds to control it but still if I stop the med I jerk and move a lot with no control
