Llama update

So I’m torn, almost literally.

Doctor called me this morning, blood tests came back. I was right about it being liver pains, my liver enzymes are getting dangerously high.

He suspects the geodon, the medication that takes away 80-90% of my voices. So I have to come off of it, find something new.

I don’t really know how to feel. Scared of voices coming back, but the geodon is killing me

If Geodon is killing you, you should quit it.
Learn to live with a few voices… Your physical health is important too.

I’m sorry. I hope you’re able to find something even better.

I liked haldol but when it stopped working I switched to perphenazine and I love it so much more than the haldol.

Well done on getting the blood tests. So many people don’t. At least now you know. You’ll find another good med, don’t worry.

So sorry about that. When geodon started to make me physically ill I still tried not to switch for a long time but it was inevitable. Luckily the switch worked out for me and I hope it does for you too!

I’m sorry Geodon is hurting your liver. I hope you find something even better or the same at controlling your symptoms as Geodon does.

Thank you everyone, they’re gonna run some more tests and referrals. Hopefully my next med works

Don’t know yet, I’ve got a call into my Pdoc, waiting to hear back from her

Update, 48 hours off geodon, haven’t had any liver pains.

Pdoc raised my risperidone but I’m getting voices telling me I’m dying, trying real hard to not let them effect me.

Ultra sound later today on my liver, I’m worried, I partied a lot back in my drug and drinking days.

Hope everyone is doing well!

I had no idea geodon could mess with liver is this a common side effect?

Possible hepatotoxic in rare and compromised cases.

It could be my liver was already damaged and the geodon was just what gave me the pains

Hope everything turns out ok

Got an appointment with a hepatologogtologist. And a referral into general surgery. More blood work today to check on my liver values. Fun.

Geodons leaving my system and I’ve got voices.

This is llama life.

Hope everyone is doing well.

I know every medicine works different for every person, but ask about saphris. It has changed my life from a psychosis standpoint.
