Living with an alcoholic

@Montezuma @LevelJ1 @anon4362788 and anyone else who might care… i’ve got good news! Tomorrow my mom and I are moving in with my grandparents (moms side) my grandpa changed his mind and is letting me move in with him. So i’m not going to a shelter or the streets thankfully. My mom and her fiance have officially broken up after their fighting for the past 7 hours.

I really need to find a job and hold it this time. I dont want to be sitting around all day doing nothing like ive done here. Its going to be a challenge but there has to be a job out there I can do.

Life goes on…

I came down with schizophrenia about age 17. I had done a lot of work for money before I developed schizophrenia, and I still could do most of those jobs,

I’ve drank 34 beers in a day before. Alcoholics build up a huge tolerance for alcohol, and they often get really crazy because of it. I’ve drank around thirty beers a day for five or six days, and then have a bad case of the shakes afterwards. But it is the damnedest thing, when they gave me the shot of Haldol decoate it reduced the number of beers I could drink by over half. The Haldol pills didn’t do that. Once I was off of them I could drink like I used to. The decoate shot permanently reduced the amount of beer I could drink by over half. Alcoholics often go into “blackouts”, where they don’t remember all the crazy things they did while roaring drunk the night before. There were a number of times where all I could do was cringe when someone told me the ugly truth. The worst kind of alcoholics are those that can stay in control and maintain until they’re getting past middle age. Then the doctor is telling them to sober up or die. I’ve never had delerium tremons, and I have met only a couple of guys who have. It’s supposed to be one of the worst chemical withdrawals you can go through. I think ten percent are fatal.

I can not say that alcohol in any way gave me anything. Let me tell you one thing and that’s alcohol is a bad spirit at the bottom of a bottle. Not only does it intoxicate the person who drinks but the whole invironment get affected. Alcohol only creates losers. Don’t try to control alcohol but drop it for ever.

Seems like a good development. You should definitely try to find work. Obviously working sucks, and I avoided working for a long time, but Canada like most countries is heartless to people who don’t/ can’t work.
