It’s hard to say what attracts me so much to this book. I suppose in a lot of ways my younger self identified with Holden, the speaker/main character. I see some humor in it, too, where most people see none. Some people even find it to be a bit depressing. Idk, I guess I just get a kick out of Holden.
I understand why some people don’t like it, though, especially given the lack of an actual plot.
