For Overthinking and needing to let go of a thought as it is not helpful

Imagine that thought on a cloud drifting away

Or

Imagine that thought on a leaf in a river, floating away, if it comes back, put it on another leaf to float away again, and so on

It could help by retraining the brain a little

A long time ago I was haunted by this dragon monster thing in my mind so I imagined I put it a a cage to lock it away. The voices I heard told me it wouldn’t work, but it did work, the dragon monster thing never came back.
