This has being doing the rounds for a week.
Anyway what do you think? Both of mine are exactly the same length. What about yours
For men on the right hand if your index finger is longer than your ring finger then it is said in studies that a mans risk for the disease increases
Was another thread like this a couple days ago.
It’s horse ■■■■ to quote turningthepage.
Anyways they are the same length for me.
I piece of evidence. It’s horse ■■■■.
Horseshit? Not exactly there Is actually some science behind it. Higher exposure to testosterone in the womb does cause the ratio to vary (seemingly)
It’s pretty theoretical…
Most leanings would say it’s a genetic disorder.
I have heard the prenatal stuff as well.
Anyways it’s not true for me… And there are probably better ways to trace back testosterone levels than the lengths of ones fingers.
I myself would say that it is more phenotype than genotype. There is a genetic part but also an environmental part. I have no close relative with the disorder or any clinicaly significant mental disorder. They are all functional people. That includes first cousins , brothers , sisters , parents , uncles and aunts.
The majority of dxd individuals actually have no close relative with the disorder.
Edit: of my 4 grandparents.2 lived into their 90s (on both sides) , one died at 88 and one died at 74. None had any apparent problems.
Yeah man… No one else I’ve ever met in my entire life has this illness. My whole family as far as I know doesn’t have sz or even bipolar. There is some anxiety and depression.
I don’t know man. To me it just is what it is.
Its all fairly complicated first off we all have DNA, obviously , then there are sex organs that split our chromosomes and produce gametes , then those gametes meet exchange and repair to form an embryo then that embryo needs to grow and develop , then it is born ; phenotype, then it grows again , all the time it is subject to nutrition diet disease , hormones , minerals and blah blah , that’s why schiz is so difficult to pin down.
Yeah Itd be cool to know more but I don’t want to sift through all the research myself.
Maybe they’ll have a good documentary out within another decade.
