Lego for the win

Does anyone here still play with Lego?

I used to have a lot of it and made cool things. My parents sold it all (Grrr).

I used to build things bit by bit over several days, and I loved it.

Now I am 36 and feel I am too old to buy some Lego.

Nevertheless, I do enjoy taking my time to build something special.

Do you have any childhood toys you miss and/or still play with?

Try models, they range in difficulty and can look cool

You are never too old to lego!

I have a crazy Lego collection. Love the Creator sets, the Elves sets, some of the LotR sets, the Star Wars sets, I have so many Harry Potter sets. I generally go for ones that look intricate or challenging and somehow fit my fantasy universe I’m building. Right now I have a couple of Elves roasting marshmallows over a fire where Fenrir Grayback is being roasted on a spit in my Ewok Village. I feel no shame!

a long time ago, i did.

I still have all mine, and my brothers from our childhood, my mom never threw anything away, think there’s about 2-3 gigantic tubs of them…we’re talking from about 1070-1975?
Some are so old they just crack in half and crumble. When psychotic(?) I made some pretty inventive booby-traps and door/window jams with them.
You are never too old to play…ever.

I used to love legos, I passed it on to my son. My hallway closet is packed with huge buckets of them. He says he wants to pass them down to his kids.

There is a podcast called the block show where he just goes through Lego builds. My nephews love it!
