I just gave this advice on another thread but I think it’s relevant for many of us with SZ. We can easily fall into destructive patterns of self hatred and so forth. We can be our own worst enemies! I really think we could benefit from finding ways to be kind and understanding to ourselves.
One method I use is this. Sit quietly in a nice room, light a candle or make the environment peaceful. Breath deeply and just think repeatedly “May I be well, may I be happy, may I be free of suffering”. Enjoy the benefits of positive self talk. It can really work wonders.
