What is some advice

What is some advice for all those men and women out there that will be spending the coming holidays alone? Encouraging, positive thoughts welcome here. :jack_o_lantern::maple_leaf::fallen_leaf::turkey::christmas_tree:

I really don’t know. I am alone too.

I’m not alone, but sometimes I feel alone.

Yeah, that’s correct. I have my family, they’re very supportive. But i struggle alone. No one knows, no one understands

I hear ya. What I learned over the years is to get to know yourself better. Treat yourself to some goodness, no matter how small. I learned from an old pdoc to learn to be a little selfish. I did and I’m finally enjoying the times I spend by myself. I do things for others naturally, because my kiddos need me, but one thing I teach them is to treat yourself well. Tell yourself jokes, self affirmations, sing for yourself. Maybe you have already been doing this, but just really focus on you enjoying you. No one can know you like you do.

Edit: If you find yourself feeling isolated amongst family or friends, try the self awareness technique. Focus on the warm bodies in the room, admire the twinkling lights (those are my favorite) listen to the Carol’s playing in the background. Take in slow breaths, in and out. Savor the food you’re eating. If you start to feel alone again try breathing exercises and try to find the culprit of your solitude. Like a mind game to weed out the bad apple in your mind. These things have helped me and I hope I can do the same for others here.

I feel extremely lonely, in solipsism.
I can’t believe that there are other beings.
It’s very frustrating.

Being alone is better than being in an unsatisfactory relationship. Especially if ppl don’t want to treat you right.
