Latuda question

Does anyone find Latuda just does nothing I guess it worked when I started it way back but it just does….nothing and then your Pdoc starts questioning if your taking your meds

I suffer mainly with negative symptoms
Drugs only work if if physically exercise
I guess thereby increasing sensitivity to them

The longer I take off from a work out regimen
It just gets worse and worse into Ipesity disturbances

I just hope things like Ulotaront or KARxt will work significantly better

I could feel it’s effect, but it’s much lighter than zyprexa which has been my main AP a long time.

I love Latuda in so far as you can love an antipsychotic.

I’m on 60mg and started in 2019. Changed my life for the better. I have 2 jobs, dating, socializing, highly functional, healthy, lost a ton of weight, etc… It’s never lost effectiveness, at least not yet.

I was on 40mg of Olanzapine for 17 years, nasty sh*t.

I did develop akathisia on latuda, but I take 75mg of Trazodone for the akathisia when I take by Latuda and that problem has been completely solved.

That’s good to hear I’m just baffled because it kind of made me a couch potato. A few years ago when I saw it losing its effectiveness. Just felt for me it didn’t do anything

Yeah, everyone reacts differently to different meds. I’ve heard others complain about Latuda.

Different meds work for different people.

Olanzapine turned me into an overweight, diabetic couch potato. That’s part of the reason I hate it.

Have you tried vraylar?

No, I’m happy with Latuda and doing really well so I don’t want to risk screwing that up.

I’m in Canada and vraylar was just recently approved.

I know @anon67051439 was thinking about trying vraylar but I haven’t seen him on the forum lately.

He was on Latuda at one point, but not anymore. He is also Canadian and was waiting for vraylar hoping it would help with his negative symptoms.
