Summary:
I couldn’t tolerate it after a month @ 1000mg and couldn’t tolerate 2000mg even for a day. I tried 500mg for a few days and couldn’t even tolerate that.
It obviously builds up in your system and then becomes uncomfortable and counter productive.
I’m discontinuing it.

Sorry it did not work out well for you.
It seems NAC is not working well for me. It is causing acid reflux and is heavy on my stomach. Maybe I am not eating enough with it but I don’t like it.
By far I am only taking Vitamin D and B Complex and the much loved and praised L-Theanine. L-Theanine is a lifesaver for me.

NAC didn’t work out for me either. Or @anon20613941 . It makes me wonder who they get to do these clinical studies.

The studies are saying so many positive things about it. But whatever!

I can’t find the link right now, but I read two studies where they said it was effective in about 1/3 of patients, one of them identified a particular genetic component.
Actually that reminds me, I read one about memantine, they also identified a specific genetic profile that memantine was very effective in, and the rest of the people had either a small effect or it made things worse.

Thanks.
Unless there’s an interaction between antioxidants and abilify or metformin. Because I haven’t had any luck with antioxidants… They seem to make the situation worse.
