I don’t know about anybody else but when I still smoked I would smoke all the time. I don’t know if it relieved the feeling of craziness or what, but yeah, it was the whole pack for me.
I might’ve been able to. I have great self control when it comes to alcohol. But I had to stop smoking because even with limited use it made my gums recede.
Eddie van Halen lost half his tongue
I smoke two cigarettes in the morning with two cups of coffee. The rest of the day I vape.
I really don’t know the answer to your question, but let me ask you this: How many people can eat just one potato chip?
Or popcorn in the theater
I dunno about you but I just AVOID all snacks and avoid shopping for groceries because I get stupid things sometimes that cost too much.
We went out to breakfast this morning and I had an omelette and potatoes.
Off to have another cigarette, I have to say goodbye now because the moderators only let me have three posts per topic that aren’t mine. I guess I tend to get off topic or something.
I slowed down from half a pack a day to about 3 cigs a day.
I tried quitting completely…didn’t happen.
I chain vape
Think it must be better than chain smoking
Smokers enjoy your habit while you can until you were constantly starting and stopping which is what happened to me. I hated the money I spent on them and they made my breathing difficult… well I finally quit but man, do I miss the act of smoking. I am better off quit, it was going to kill me. I was a two pack a day smoker…hope I haven’t caused the cancer already. we will see…they say it takes twenty years to be smoke free before they say you are free of the chances of getting cancer because you smoked.
I can smoke only a few puffs of a cig before I turn blue and cough until I pass out.
Ok, maybe I exaggerate, but that’s what it feels like.
I have a lot of allergies, and cig smoke must be one of them, although 3/6 in our family smoked over a pack a day when I lived at home.
i had romantic allusions where someone in a book had 2 cigs every evening - wanted to be like that. tried 5 a day 10 years before - lasted one day - and what a struggle
then i spent 8 years trying to give up once a year roughly propperly or over and over for 9 months in hospital
that was extreme hardship in the sense of how hard it was to quit
when i finally gave up
i never missed it
i haven’t had a craving yet 10.5 years later
I don’t get it but after 60 a day inhaling deeply to convince myself it was a bad idea
i quit without it being hard
at all
it was so easy and if it had been hard i would not have managed it because i kept going back - all the time
I used nicotine replacement old style for 2 years
and i went to a support nurse of some kind or worker - which really helped
Back in the day I was in a relationship with a chainsmoking guy and pretty much smoked whenever he smoked (which was a lot!).
Before that I never smoked cigs.
But after we broke up, I never had the temptation or the urge to smoke. I never smoked again.
I tried chewing tobacco just because I was curious. I regularly used chewing tobacco for a very short amount of time (4 months) and then stopped.
I think chew is a lot more enjoyable with the variety of flavors versus the lack of any real flavor with cigs.
I could see myself with using chewing tobacco again, but only once in a blue moon.
But at the same time I don’t want to get cancer, so I probably won’t be trying it again.
I don’t think it takes that long, Michael,
more like 7 years
Godspeed on your new health
