i notice i can’t eat large portions of carbohydrates without getting full. so im going to a modified keto diet. breakfast isn’t keto as i have a smoothie and some hashbrowns, i need some carbs for my morning run.
but then lunch is a big chicken salad, and a handful of sunflower seeds
dinner is a big fish salad, and a side of broccoli.
and then i snack on some pumpkin seeds.
i worry i may not be able to get enough calories, so im going to add liberal amounts of olive oil to my salads. i would like to eat at least 2000 calories a day and see what it does to my weight.
but i’ve noticed if im eating protein and meat i can 3-5 times a day, versus the 2 times a day when i eat carbs. the carbs are just so filling.
and i may add another serving of meat. alot of nutrition advice when working out says to eat 5 times a day, but i hate to be in the kitchen all the time. it takes a lot of time out of your day.
well i guess i wont be getting into ketosis with the morning smoothie, but im hoping it will increase my appetite some. i would like to change my body composition through diet and exercise, but stay about the same weight.
I think intermittent fasting is easy for that purpose. Only eat 50 cals an hour until 4 PM and eat a meal or two by 8 PM. Meds might make you hungrier though.
I lost a fair bit of weight that way, like 20 pounds recently. Didn’t exercise much at all. I satisfied my fasting hunger with tea and water, and the occasional apple.
It’s like keto, but you carb out during the eating window.
