I just had access to my last abdominal ultrasound. Fatty liver disease is progressing and getting worse, blood liver enzymes are too high. Also now I have cysts on one kidney. I read its genetic and appears age 30-40, I am 32. My grandmother died of kidney disease.
I have fatty liver disease and cysts on my kidneys
It’s pretty common
I hope mine doesn’t develop into cirrhosis.
Yeah I was supposed to get a second ultrasound of my liver to see the extent of my fatty liver disease but never got to it.
Do you know if having kidney cysts are dangerous @Aziz?
From what I’ve gathered it’s a pretty harmless occurrence
Good enough reason to lose weight? Get well soon!
Yeah weigh loss is really the only treatment for fatty liver disease @Aziz
I do an abdominal ultrasound every 2yrs. Kidney cysts are generally harmless unless cancerous I read. But they are harmful when there is a lot or when the cysts are big. Mine are small and a few so harmless otherwise I think my dr clinic would have called me but they didn’t so far and the test was done a month ago.
Eat better, move more, and lose weight. Should reverse the fatty liver issue.
Not so sure about reverse as I had it even when I was 135-140lb all muscle before sz. My liver enzymes are high since I was young before sz. I think it might improve though.
I wonder if my Tylenol overdose suicide attempt caused this. I swallowed over 100 extra strength Tylenol pills.
It could have affected your high liver enzyme levels
Hopefully it will keep it from progressing further?
Yes, I will do another diet once I am ready. I recently stopped my diet, only lasted a week idk why, as before that did the same diet for 2-3 months.
I have been eating chia seeds for a while and since I do my cholesterol lvl is down from 4.75 to 3.74 which is amazing given that the lowest range is 2.50 and the max I think is 5.5. Chia seeds are full of soluble fiber that lowers cholesterol. Its tasty with almond milk and a bit of artificial or real sugar.
My old doctor said a lot of people have fatty liver including him because our diets are so bad in the west.
I read that it can also be genetic, my mother also has fatty liver disease.
Fortunately you should be able to live perfectly fine with just 1 kidney if your other one dies or is removed.
I hope the other one doesn’t get cysts too!
I have a thing on my kidney (cyst I think)that needs to be checked once a year and I have a thing on my liver which is tangled heap of blood vessels grouped and that has to be checked once a year too.
Damn @Aziz - sorry to hear, hope that if you get Vraylar you get more energy to do some exercise
