Keeping to a Routine (bathing)

Its been about 5 or 6 weeks since i started taking a bath every night and i am loving it, i light candles and play music or listen to Audible while bathing, its very chill, relaxing, i really need to stop and relax more, i would recommend getting into a relaxing routine like this.

I just took a bleach bath (I have a skin condition) and it was soooo nice. I’ve been pretty sad lately and this brought my mood up a little. Even had a proper shower afterwards.

I do that as well, a nice cool rinse down

Yep it’s so hot where I am that a cool shower hits just right.

I usually shower every other day depends tho. Sometimes more sometimes less. But I have a hygiene routine of washing my face, brushing my teeth, putting on deodorant and cologne, putting on lotion and vaporub every day.

I heard it can also boost the immune system having a cool shower, apparently if you go from hot to cold its very good for you especially if you are sore from exercises.

A lot of people in the gym near me will pop into the steam/sauna room after a work out and go from hot to cold a few times to help them recover.

I didn’t know that. Next time I’ll turn the heat up on the bath and then turn it down on the shower. I could use some recovery.

Living in Canada I can’t say I’ve ever purposely taken a cold shower haha maybe a cool shower once in a blue moon in the hottest part of summer. But cold? Hell no haha in some developing countries they only have cold water. I feel bad for them but then again it’s like 50 degrees in a lot of them

lol, i also heard that if you bathe in hot water too frequently (if its too hot) for too long it can affect the natural oils in the skin.

Apparently (sorry if I’m giving mixed messages here) but the late Queen would have a tepid bath every morning and The King Charles also does this. as its not too hot it doesn’t affect the skins natural oils.

The bath I took was only lukewarm so I could stand to turn the heat up some.

Had no idea about this.

This is true. Cold showers are invigorating once you get used to them. I would try it. It’s supposed to be good for mental health as well. Similar to an ice bath.

I checked and it says the ideal temp for a bath is just over body temperature about 37oC or between 98oF & 100oF

I have a theory lol that cold showers are for rich people who want to bring difficulty into their lives :joy: I’m poor af I don’t need more problems. Last thing I wanna do is wake up and take a cold shower

Lmfao. I took cold showers because I couldn’t afford oil for the boiler for like a month. I had to look on the bright side.

But man I hear ya.
