I wonder thru Rona, how many mental ill have been turned away from the ER. it’s the only way you can get admitted for help if you’re thinking about dying, or if you Feel like you’re dying from a panic attack.
has anyone here been in the ER the last two years?

Yeah, I called my doctors office about chest pain and was told to go to the ER. This was less than a year ago. I’m not sure exactly how long it’s been.
Anyway, yeah, I went to the ER and 2 EKG’s/ECG’s and an x-ray of my chest. They may have done a blood test as well…I can’t remember. They also set me up to get a Holter monitor for a day.

did you have to wait a long time in the waiting room before
you got into a room in the ER?
you must suffer panic attacks, like I do.
It’s been awhile though for me.
I worry about this psychological pain I’ve been getting,
feels like the onset of something, but I just find distractions.
wish I had told my pdoc, but I wanted to talk about other things,
and she cared about was meds.

I don’t think it was a panic attack. I still get a weird sensation once in awhile. I think it has something to do with my chest/pectoral muscle. Maybe aggravating it coughing in sleep from smoking or something(it often appears in morning after sleep). IDK.
ok, yeah. they’ve always done an ekg on me too, but everything is fine. could sworn I was having a heart attack.

I’ve waited over 24 hours before in a US hospital ER. I think it’s absaloutly disgraceful

Last time I went in was for a kidney stone. After an hour of waiting, they finally placed me on a triage bed for three hours while I screamed in agony. In fact, some of the other patients there said, “Someone give this person something! They are freaking me out!!!”
I think they finally gave me morphine. I don’t know what, specifically, it was, just the feeling of the pain going away. All of my muscles were sore for days after that.
Hospitals suck!

3x this year, but for cardiac issues. Those bump me to the front of the line. The ERs are always overwhelmed now.
