To take care of some business and buy a soda. The vending machine in my apartment building has been completely sold out since last Friday.
I checked my watch and it’s 9:00pm at night. The store is a half mile away, but I really wanted a soda.

I used to stay up super late and walk to the corner store all the time but one night the cops stopped me and were searching through my bag and everything. They initially thought I might’ve been someone who stole something from the corner store earlier that night. It scared the hell out of me.
Since then I’ve stopped walking there. I buy things like soda and snacks in bulk from Walmart. A lot cheaper and less trouble.

I got a can of Coca-Cola. I’ve been buying aluminum cans because they are recyclable. I didn’t buy a beer. I’ve been going lately for something else.

I guess I’ll buy a 6-pack the next time I go to the store. I go on the bus now, and a 6-pack is all I can manage.

If I was on the bus that’s probably what I would do too.
Carrying that 24 pack up to my apartment was kinda a pain in the ass. Thankfully we have elevators though.

It was my New Years resolution to stay out of the beer this year. The thought occurred to me that I could get one at the store, but I didn’t. Maybe they will restock the vending machine with sodas again at my apartment building.
