Any nasty side effects to be aware of? Just started Invega a week ago. Went from 3mg to 12mg in a week! But it seems to already be working a lot.

Some people get blurry vision.

It’s a good med for symptoms. Watch out for those prolactin levels, though.

I’m on it for two years now and it worked wonders. Took a while to work fully but I’m asymptomatic now.

My niece was groggy, but the paranoia going away was worth a week or two of grogginess! Best wishes!

They slowly increased my niece. Started at 3mgs, then 2wks later, moved her to 6mgs; 2 wks later moved her to 9mgs & then by end of 2nd month, She was on 12mgs. Think 12mgs is max doage

I’m sorry to be personal, but a male in my support group said he had issues maintaining an erection, but not outright dysfunction. Is your pdoc helping with this problem? I’m sorry you are going (or went thru) this

Increased anxiety and restlessness for me. I had to take an anti depressant to deal with the side effects. Excellent for positive symptoms though

Well they put me on 10 of Lexapro also so I think that will help. Is it possible to get prolictin levels measured? If they’re too high can I take something else to make them drop?

That sounds good, I’m also on lexapro. The two meds work really well together for me. Non sure about measuring prolactin levels.

I’m on it, have been for years, and my only complaint about this med (maybe all of them are like this)
is that it’s ER (extended release) so I’m taking my other pills at the same time,
but I don’t know how or when they are working,
I guess it doesn’t matter, since your body will have enough in you
from your last dose.
I think you’ll like how it takes away voices almost immediately.

Oh it’s under control now. Nothing that my pdoc can’t solve. Had to change the medicine though. The obesity was just too much to handle on that one. On to latuda it’s a lot better in both those departments.

I tried Latuda but it didn’t help with my voices enough.

I thought inveigh was a much better medication minus the side effects

eduvigis is right blurry vision-my vision isn’t as good but I’ve been getting monthly injections for awhile.

I hope that it helps you find some peace of mind, that’s especially hard for guys like us.

I m using invega injections since one year 2 months. side effects it depends on how much dosage are you using.i have been used 150 to 75 mg.at 150 mg i used to have terrible brain burning and suicidal ideas and libido problem.but at 75 mg i dont have any single side effect except for some mild insomnia but seroquel is working for insomnia.for last thing if you have erectile dysfunction is possible temporary side effects.i used to have first 1 or 2 months but later it s past.and last thing despite the this drug is weigth neutral you have to watch your weight because i got 14 kilos since 1 year.

My libido returned after a while on the 75mg injection too.
