I heard loud cat meowing outside. I ignored it for about an hour but then the cat came right to my front door to meow. So I went outside. She came right up to me and was rubbing against me while constantly meowing. So against my better judgment, I went inside and put a can of tuna in a bowl and brought it out to her. She ate it very fast. Then she kept rubbing against me so I sat outside with her for a long time. I’m hoping she’s not lost from a family. If she continues to hang around looking for attention I might have to trap her, and take her to the vet to be scanned for a microchip. She’s extremely affectionate.
That’s a good idea.
Aww that’s so sweet…
Yeah going to see if she’s microchipped sounds good.
If not, you may have gotten yourself a new pet cat on your hands!
she might be in heat. just sounds like it.
I don’t have any other food on hand to feed her. One can of tuna isn’t going to hurt her. But thank you for the link.
Tuna is ok once in a while as long as there is no oil or other flavorings.
Tuna packed in water might be ok but I wouldn’t feed it to my cat.
Too much mercury
I think you did great. Hopefully she will go back to her home.
Thanks @anon55031185 . I noticed she’s losing some fur. But I checked and saw no fleas and no skin issues so I think it might be stress. I’m hoping she’s not lost. I’ll keep an eye out for her
Yea she sounds like she’s in distress from the amount of attention she was giving you.
You’re a caring person. Well done for looking out for her.
Thanks @Zoe . I have 2 dogs that aren’t familiar with cats so I was afraid to let her inside. I’ll just have to wait and see if she comes back
