Just got back from my sisters

Got there, she has chickens and her chicken laid her first egg. She was excited about that. We ate a scrambled egg. We went for a walk in the woods with her dog. We talked about a lot of things. But mostly about creativity and stuff. I never heard my sister say anything like this but she said “We’re both late bloomers, but it’s ok, it probably has something to do with the way our parents raised us, that they never taught us anything, but w/e, it doesn’t matter, what’s the big deal if we do everything…5 years later than everybody else”. Then we talked about my music, and her writing, and it was very encouraging. We got back watched Dave Chappelle new stand-up comedy on Netflix. FRICKING hilarious Lol. Laughed so hard for 1 hour 15 minutes straight. He’s so fricking clever its unbelievable. Missed that guy lol. Then she made tacos and guacamole and we ate that. Then I left and on the way home listened to my music. I realized the song "insane’ has to be re-done. But I’ll do that tomorrow. Then I made a different song when I got home. Now I’m here watching the Yankees game.

I agree with your sister… I feel several years behind too. I think it’s best not to compare yourself too much to others & go at your own pace. Sounds like a nice day. I wish I had a sibling I could talk to like that

Sounds like a great day. I love Dave Chappelle, haven’t seen the new stand up special yet. I found the special he did in D.C. years ago to be utterly hilarious, though I like the other one that I saw, too.

Oh man if you like dave Chappelle, its so funny lol. I didn’t realize he was so young still…like he’s like 43 which means he was like 28-29 when he made Chappelle show. And way younger than that when he made half baked. He does a great job at making his humor “non-politically correct” but not-offensive at the same time.

Have you ever seen Bill Burr? He’s possibly my favorite stand-up, though it’s pretty close between him and Chappelle.

No I haven’t. I don’t watch much stand-up. I’ve only really watched Chappelle and louis CK intently. I got into Chappelle because of Chappelles show…my friends were obsessed with that show in the 8th grade and I bought both seasons on DVD and fell in love with it. I don’t watch much media truth be told. Don’t watch movies, tv shows, stand-up comedy. Most of my time spent watching things is sports.

I feel ya on being a late bloomer. I had a relative once scold me for not having a career and my bachelors degree in my late 20’s. But everyone’s life and situation is unique.

My goal is to get my BA before 40. I think I can do it.

I have disability and part-time job for now that supports me and makes me independent…my goal is to be a professional musician at age 33-35. I have “youthfulness” on my side. Good to have realistic goals like we do. Don’t wanna wait too long, but don’t wanna put pressure on ourselves to succeed too early…

Exactly. We can do it. Follow your dreams. Congrats on getting the job btw! I can’t remember if I commended you for that.
