Just couldn't reach making the jambalaya after all

It would have cost $62 to make jambalaya and that’s almost a hundred dollars…!! how did I ever afford making jambalaya?? we settled for @FatMama rotisserie chicken and a party tray of chicken enchiladas. why is it so much cheaper to buy frozen instead of cooking…our rotisserie chicken was $6.99 and the party tray was $12. oh did I mention I’m in love with Marie Callender’s frozen dinners?

That sounds very good! Those rotisserie chickens are close to half price of buying the chicken raw.

absolutely. I was just asking Angie why the chicken is sold at that price…the chicken is so good you know they could mark it up…cost of food is cheap here in Oklahoma too…

hey @FatMama I had some dear friends in college from Canada…Calgary. are you close to there? I lost contact with them after school…oh memories of Doug. I miss college…I’m rambling…anyways…do you like Bob and Doug Mackenzie? the comedians? I love Strange Brew the best.

I lived in banff for two years near Calgary but wouldn’t remember from there. Calgary is pretty big and two provinces away from Manitoba

Well at least it ended up being great anyway  My favorite meals to make from scratch are too expensive so I can only make them once per year.

Sounds like a nice dinner, I had a half of a panini that I had for lunch. Didn’t eat much today

Canada has the Red Green show. Dad and I used to watch it all the time.

$62 for jambalaya ! Why is it so expensive? How many people was that for?

what are your favorite meals that you only have once a year?

Rotisserie chicken is 6.99 here, while raw chicken is 1-2$ a pound. I think raw chicken would be cheaper for me.

Homemade Mac and cheese, carne asada, Yakisoba, Irish stew, bison meatballs and my homemade completely organic French onion soup. All of these meals can be made cheaper, but we like to make our food taste the best possible seeing as how my husband used to be a chef.

Damn, if I were self sufficient, then I would totally Venmo you some jambalaya money. I did find you a cheaper recipe though.
