Just a pondering.... I.Q

Mine fluctuates from 135-144, so an average of 139.

I am shocked and horrified that 50% of today’s children have below average intelligence. Something should really be done…

I don’t know how many questions there should be on an average IQ test, but I think I just took a sample test, I think the whole test will cost me $$$ so forget it

I think hard work, determination, and guts count for a lot more than IQ. Pretty much to the point where, until it comes up to the things you can absolutely not grasp (one of my professors described something like hitting the math “wall”. Your brain can’t comprehend math above that level).
But except for math I don’t know of any other walls. The man who created the first pacemaker just worked until he got it right. So did Henry Ford.
If you want to talk about any of the arts, that’s all subjective. One guy got away with a blank canvas. I don’t think I.Q really has anything to do with that. People either see your point or they don’t.

I think it’s one thing to score high on a test but what also counts is being able to apply it to real life situations ie find practical solutions to problems.

“Protego !!” Haha…

You should probably hang out with Luna …she would most likely be diagnosed SZ in the Muggles world, as she sees things most other people can’t see…

Of the Thestrals: “I’ve been able to see them ever since my first day here. They’ve always pulled the carriages. Don’t worry. You’re just as sane as I am.” - Luna L.

I really am not a big fan of Hermione…

“Oh, for heaven’s sake, Harry, you can do better than her,” said Hermione. “Ginny’s told me all about her, apparently she’ll only believe in things as long as there’s no proof at all.”

"The Aurors are part of the Rotfang Conspiracy, I thought everyone knew that…

Oh … well … I think they think I’m a bit odd, you know. Some people call me ‘Loony’ Lovegood, actually." - Luna

Coolest character in the whole series…

I did like Luna, but I was also partial to Fred and George. My sis would most likely be like Hermione.

I think I liked her because she is stigmatized by mostly everyone, except Harry, yet she is really intelligent and doesn’t let things bother her, approaching a lot of things in a child-like manner.
I think Luna is a really good character for SZ because she shows how she can overcome stigma despite the odds.

Fred and George are cool too, for their mischievous antics…

I actually started not liking Hermione too much after she judged Luna…

No matter what test scores say, I think you are VERY intelligent, and have real emotional sensitivity to people. As for your fashion IQ, I am pretty sure that mine would be very low as well.

I did WAIS III. Top score was 170 and lowest score 75. WAIS tests a lot of different ways to think. And working memory. The doc said that if my attention span was to be calculated I’d have the IQ of a worm. :stuck_out_tongue:

luna was the coolest character .

LOL! (Mostly girl questions but i answered them according to how girls I’ve known would dress, and I think they looked good dressed that way…haha)
And I just got a 145 on the regular IQ test…

I love Hermione! Harry and Ron would have probably died by book two at the very latest if it wasn’t for her.

That I will definitely agree with! And, one of her best exploits is using the time tuner to go back and save Buckbeak, And doing something as non magical as throwing rocks through Hagrids window to get things going the way they needed to…

Ah man, I sure did love book three. It was nice to see Hermione break out and kick butt in book 7. Hard to believe J.K. Rowling got 17 rejection letters on Harry Potter before Bloomsbury took a chance.

It almost seems like the more rejections you get the more likely the book is to be great. No one wanted Milton’s “Paradise Lost” and he sold it for an incredibly small amount, even adjusting for inflation. He died in poverty and that is one of the most famous books ever written.

Mine was 149 when I tested. I don’t know if that makes any difference now that my mind betrays me.
