Job applications (hospitals)

So, I was just looking at the web sites of the two major hospital networks in my area, looking at their job postings. I bookmarked a total of eight jobs. Later today or maybe tonight I’ll go back through them all and create applications on those two web sites and start getting apps in.

If I get an interview, I’m sure by that time I would be able to pass urine tests for recreational drugs and nicotine. Hell, the hiring process usually takes a lot of time, so it should be no problem for me, provided I stick with my quitting smoking effort. I’m two weeks clean of cannabis and nicotine as it is, so by then I’m sure I’d be able to pass a urine test. If they do hair tests I’m ■■■■■■, but most places just do urine tests.

I think I’ll be honest with them about my education and work history of teaching, and let the cards fall wherever they may.

Good luck. I did not now there were so strict even with nicotine. In my country nodoby gives a ■■■■ if you smoke

Well, I just applied to one job, supply chain tech. I just hope it wouldn’t be too demanding for me, in terms of being fast-paced and/or complicated to learn. I move slowly and have crummy memory, have to be taught things multiple times before they stick. Not exactly things you mention at a job interview.

I guess I’m committed to quitting smoking now.
