I've had almost all symptoms

I’ve had almost all of these schizophrenia symptoms I found on Google before, maybe even all of them so that’s very unsettling. What do you have of these?:

Schizophrenia is characterized by thoughts or experiences that seem out of touch with reality, disorganized speech or behavior, and decreased participation in daily activities. Difficulty with concentration and memory may also be present.
People may experience:
Behavioral: social isolation, disorganized behavior, aggression, agitation, compulsive behavior, excitability, hostility, repetitive movements, self-harm, or lack of restraint
Cognitive: thought disorder, delusion, amnesia, belief that an ordinary event has special and personal meaning, belief that thoughts aren’t one’s own, disorientation, memory loss, mental confusion, slowness in activity, or false belief of superiority
Mood: anger, anxiety, apathy, feeling detached from self, general discontent, loss of interest or pleasure in activities, elevated mood, or inappropriate emotional response
Psychological: hallucination, paranoia, hearing voices, depression, fear, persecutory delusion, or religious delusion
Speech: circumstantial speech, incoherent speech, rapid and frenzied speaking, or speech disorder
Also common: fatigue, impaired motor coordination, or lack of emotional response

That’s a hefty sized list, but yeah, think I support most, if not all of these.
I do have to wonder if these just aren’t an intrinsic part of me, Sz or not.
Suppose it’s not the point about what ypu got, but what ya gonna do about it?

I do not think it’s good to diagnose yourself, except for obvious things like sounds or traffic disorders, which is already clear and easy And maybe a few more things,

That’s a lot of symptoms. Sorry to hear you are experiencing all of that. I hope you see a doctor about all that. Sounds like meds could really help you. Are you on any?

i understand where you’re coming from @ola , and ive received all my diagnoses professionally, but some people don’t have access to a doctor or any other means to be diagnosed. for those of us who can, it’s affirming, but not everyone has that option. many people with sz/a are homeless, and health care isn’t universal everywhere. and i believe @anon21849028 was professionally diagnosed, based on their profile?

plus–people who self-diagnose do not harm the mentally ill community. people faking illness to receive drugs/benefits do, and ableism does, but not people who are desperate to understand what has happened to them.

i hope im not coming across too harshly! no hard feelings intended whatsoever, just something to keep in mind

My intention was not to take possession of schizophrenia, but to say, I was in a meeting with the psychologist, and I could not concentrate on one subject, the body kept moving in different directions, and I moved from subject to subject,
When I asked him if it was an unorganized symptom, he said no, and all week I wandered around with the thought that I was entering an unorganized psychosis, because I diagnosed myself based on what I read and I was under pressure. I know that there are many things in the schizo that happen to a person
On a daily basis, we think we feel and perceive the world differently, but self-diagnosis can put a lot of unnecessary pressure, that is what I meant,

I’m sorry I sounded hursh, I’m also very curious about how it is with others. This forum provides me with many answers to questions I did not even think are related, such as wearing the same clothes or talking to myself. I also read a lot about schizo, almost obsessively, What I have and explanations are external to the situation
I meant that in subtle things it is hard to diagnose yourself on the basis of limited information, you need a deeper investigation, because sometimes it seems to be there, but it is actually something else

Hey Manny, if the meds are working so great, maybe you should think about talking to your doc about getting on some that do.

I, too, have had many of those symptoms but often different ones at different times. The only thing I never really have is disorganized speech. I think the only static symptoms I have constantly are hallucinations, paranoia, and lack of self-care and social isolation. Things like aggression and hostility are usually only present when I’m off my meds (which is now impossible since I got court-ordered depot shots a couple months ago).
I also have a diagnosis of borderline personality, mostly cuz I self-mutilate, so I’m constantly wondering whether the symptoms I’m having are schiz or BPD. I think that professionals don’t take your symptoms as seriously when you have a personality disorder diagnosis, too, but I could be wrong.

My symptoms fall mainly into thought distortion, some thoughts are hugely important while others become insignificant. From the negative symptoms I struggle with alogia, inflexible thinking, anhedonia. I cannot initiate planned activities.
From cognitive symptoms I struggle with attentional impairment and executive functioning issues. I also have slow speed of processing.

You can’t diagnose yourself. Only a psychiatrist or a psychologist can diagnose you. Have you ever heard of medical student syndrome? The medical student thinks they have every disease in the medical textbooks. No, an untrained person cannot diagnose themselves. You must see a doctor.

I’m just wondering which of these symptoms people have experienced.

All of us have probably experienced one or some or several of these symptoms but it means nothing in your case. Only a doctor can diagnose you.

psychological: grandiose delusions, paranoid delusions, visual hallucinations (every day before I started taking meds), some auditory hallucinations mostly people talking but I can’t hear what they say, or people calling my name, but I don’t get this often and not at all after starting meds

behavioral: social isolation, aggression, agitation.

mood: anxiety for no reason, panic attacks, depression, suicidal thoughts

speech: neologisms
