Or you can just click on someone’s avatar and the “message” button will be right there.

Where’s “search” and where’s “here”.
search is the little magnifying glass in the top right of the screen…for pcs anyway.
There’s a magnifying glass at the top of the screen for smartphones sometimes too.

Some people can’t be messaged, they have made their accounts private.

Everybody can be messaged. Just go to the Messages section of your profile, type in user name, and voila!

Interesting, I didn’t message anyone but it seems like you’re right. I went to “Messages” in my account and clicked the “New Message” button and typed in someones name that I know has a private account and it seems like I can message them. Didn’t know that, I thought private accounts blocked private messaging.

a personal computer.
On the top right click your user icon, then select the envelope icon, then select the arrow at the bottom of the drop down menu. Then click the “New Message” button on the left and send your message.
I give up. I don’t think I even have a profile.
To add one step to Headsparks tutorial…you have to type in the users name in the “add user” field.

Not everyone can be messaged. Some people have specifically turned odf the PM feature.
So you can have a private account but still accept private messages, or vice versa?
