lately ive been having scary hallucinations… shadows and weird looking people i think they are robots… my family looks off that is not them!! i snapped at them twice and they are worried… im scared tomorrow i will go with a psychiatrist… i just want to live inside a fantasy bizarre world forever!!!

Are you on any meds?
Be honest with your psychiatrist, tell them everything.
The imposter delusion is quite common.

You need to be on antipsychotics. Your delusions will go away when you are on the right meds. It can be a little tricky finding the right ones at first.
Try not to snap at family. They are innocent. It’s your brain misfiring making you believe in all kinds of crazy things.

Not for all of us, but meds make it possible to live with them if they don’t go away.

yeah for me they take it from a constant nagging at me and obsession to something in the background that i worry about sometimes.
