I was diagnosed with sz in 2015. Used to smoke up weed heavily but somehow it just clicked and I quit smoking weed in Feb 2016.
I just realized the damage it was causing me and frankly were it not for me to quit weed I would still be in a psyche ward with my brain totally damaged to the worst.
Never touched weed again and don’t have the craving either. Even when some of my friends smoke up and invite me I politely decline their offer.
I feel I am very lucky in this regard.
Now I am starting to think if I can quit weed cold turkey why can’t I quit cigarrettes cold turkey.
I can do it if I wanted to do it with conviction.

Weed isn’t physically addictive like cigarettes. That’s why it’s so hard to just quit smoking. It is difficult but definitely doable. Perhaps others here will have tips for you to quit.

I don’t know about weed being physically addictive or nit but I used to crave that weed buzz for the whole day it’s like even if I have to take a bath I should be high. It was to such a point that I was smoking 6 7 joints a day big ass joints.
So I think it can become a physical craving… don’t you think.
Please correct me if I am wrong.

e tablets and weed for years, played a huge part in triggering my mental health issues at the time 20 years ago
You mean ecstacy tablets?
I quit weed and cigarettes pretty much cold turkey when I fell pregnant. I had a 0 nicotine vape but it was pointless so I stopped. It also coincided with a hospital admission, so it was really hard to begin with, but as soon as I had my kid I smoking cigarettes again and I feel it would be harder for me to stop again
being pregnant was a big motivator not to smoke but now he’s 3, I like smoking cigarettes so I still do it now. Weed can kiss my ass though, horrid stuff.
Good luck on quitting !!

Just curious, are you on anti-depressants?
Is nicotine more addictive than marijuana?

I’m no scientist, I’m just going on what I’ve read. If weed is a problem for you, then I’m glad you were able to stop. It’s inspiring that you’re overcoming and making progress. Don’t give up on yourself and you’ll be an ex-smoker before you know it.

Nicotine is more addictive I would say so yeah, with weed even though you don’t have a physical addiction, you can kinda think yourself into one by thinking you need it ? If that makes sense. People get stressed if they don’t have it, but in reality it’s probably nicotine withdrawal from the tobacco in the joint
