At least a bit , it works for me , and i can get back a more clear sense of smell when i took the antibiotics .So i think it is relatee with my sinusitis , maybe at some degree. The antibiotics did have some effect for my psychosis positively. I feel my mind is a bit clear.
or i am not sure if it is actually making it worse , but the Antibiotics did have some effectcto my psychosis
Man, I was on them for probably half a year while my left shoulder was a huge, open wound that wouldn’t heal. Didn’t notice any positive effect on my sz symptoms at all and I was eating them like candy.

I’ve never heard of antibiotics treating psychosis.
How effective are they?
What reduction did they make?
Did they help you come back to reality? Did they reduce the auditory hallucinations?
One theory is that the antibiotics could be killing some virus or parasite and it makes you feel better. Often it is very hard to get rid of microbes completely, and you can’t stay on antibiotics for very long. But if the antibiotics seems to help you might consider herbs that have anti-microbial effect. Like for example garlic, oregano or vervain. They might keep the bad microbial population in check.

i dun have any auditioty hallucination , but the antibiotics make me more able to think? i an not so sure but i seems better with it

Years ago I saw a documentary about this kid. He’d developed PANDAS (OCD) as a result of a virus. After taking antibiotics his ocd disappeared

No change in psychosis effect with me, but my mind does get clearer on antibiotics

I was on antibiotics before being prescribed olanzapine. I think it was one of these give it a try and it’ll buy time anyway. Usually those who are diagnosed and treated earlier have better outcomes. They said it was cause my acne but I was already having a rough time in school/socially.
