It is different to be a woman or a man with sz?

I think it is the same. I can’t think of anything different, for being a man or a woman.

I’ve read that sz starts at an earlier age for men than women.

From the NAMI website:
Although schizophrenia can occur at any age, the average age of onset tends to be in the late teens to the early 20s for men, and the late 20s to early 30s for women . It is uncommon for schizophrenia to be diagnosed in a person younger than 12 or older than 40.

I don’t see men getting sexually harrassed in this community a fraction as often as ladies do.

Nope. SZ doesn’t show discrimination. :duck::duck::duck:

Yes, men and women experience life differently.

Yes, sz makes people have things in common, or common experiences.

Statistically speaking, after being on this forum for almost 9 years, I’ve come to the conclusion that more women than men with sz manage to handle long term relationships. That doesn’t mean men have it worse than women, symptom-wise.

I won’t discuss possible reasons for this.
