With me it’s very visual, I read this is rare in schizophrenia. I did go through a decade of eating lots of psychedelics so that might be the reason.
I’ve seen faces, objects like trees morphing, game status bars, digital objects and persons etc. When I closed my eyes I sometimes went to another world I could control a bit. This world then spilled over into the real world once. A tiny amount of acid patterns from time to time. -Oh my psychedelic’s back on again- It all seemed very digital though, never real; I could also send images to other people, this is strange because I don’t have visual memory. I just had to think it and I could send it, like my brain was a controller for AR… Now I can use this to think visually albeit much less clear.
mine is similar to urs @Marbles … im mostly visual…
i ate alotta acid too & i mostly only hear things if exhausted or get trauma triggers…
If im reminded of some traumas…
I will hear chattering or pink floyd style music from the fan or half asleep.
I’ve had visual hallucinations both during and after psychosis. They’re two separate symptoms but they can coincide. I used to get lots of closed eye hallucinations, one time I saw brick blocks from the game Minecraft being mined with score numbers popping up as they broke. Another time I saw a flock of doves being released. Happens most frequently as I’m drifting off to sleep. During psychosis I thought they were telepathic messages, but now that I don’t experience psychosis, I view them as kind of dreaming while I’m awake and do my best to ignore them.
i see energy fields connecting everything and i see shadow creatures and spiders occasionally and i see text morphing on the computer and i also saw drones in the sky
It is visual for me. Though I have more auditory things going on.
Some of the things I see or have seen are warping floors and walls. Blood dripping from wall or on the floor. Stretching landscapes. Bees causally swimming between the carpet fibers. Doors unlocked when they’re locked. Faces in trees. Faces in signs. Faces in stars. Eyes in things that shouldn’t have eyes. Burning buildings. Bodies hanging from trees or traffic lights or support beams at work. Shadow people. Not shadow people. Aircrafts with many colors. Demons. Other dimensional beings that appear like incomprehensible shapes where parts of it blip in and out of our dimension. Other dimensions. The past, like many years before I was born. I can see people’s memories. Sometimes the world in front of me just glitches. Like the pixels get messed up for a second before they go normal again. Lightning when there is none. Insulation and ceiling pieces coming dislodged and falling. Animals hunting me or sometimes wanting to tell me something. I can sometimes see through the walls of my apartment. Or holes that open in the middle of the room. Idk wtf those are. Sometimes things with too many arms come out of those. I’ve fallen into that hole once and the sides are earthen but if you look into it, it just looks like it’s a short hole and on the other side is an opening with a bunch of black fog. If you go in though, you’ll fall for forever. Or what feels like forever until someone pulls you out.
Seen shadow ppl and other shadows sometimes moving, Jesus, blood on walls and dead bodies in the bathtub and in my sleep, white dots etc Never done drugs thankfully.
Sounds like what I have minus the holes to other dimensions. Does your audio also have angles, like it can come from 180 degrees at the same time? Or go around in the room like a ball but made of sound
Usually auditory hallucinations keep an approximately distance but sometimes they do move. Ie. Footsteps sounding like they are coming from one side going behind me and to the other. Or like a mosquito getting closer and farther. That happens far less often. Normally they’re right in my ear or off in the distance. At least for the outside my head voices and sounds.
Most of the time it’s all in the imagaination… likely clearly separate from the visual field. I developed dyslexia with schizophrenia… I was diagnosed 8 or 9 years ago… most of my symptoms have dwindled, but my mind seeing what it fears in text still hangs around.
I have had a few prominently visual hallucinations. I still have to turn on a nightlight sometimes because I can tell I’m in the state of mind to project badies into my room.
I did have one recently that was actually pretty entertaining. I was playing cyberpunk and had finally started driving the cars around. I remember the distinct presence of the word “POWER SLIDE!!!” appearing on the left side of the screen. I was lost in the moment. “This game is the ■■■■ I said.” Turned out that’s not part of the game and I might have just gotten too excited.
Before medication, I once saw words going up and across the TV screen, to do with my relationship with my father. Also often when I closed my eyes I would see distorted faces, some of people I knew, some of people I had never met.
Soon as I started medication that stuff went away.
