Is this true?

"The majority of people with schizophrenia get better over time, not worse. For every five people who develop schizophrenia:

  • One will get better within five years of experiencing their first symptoms.
  • Three will get better, but will still have times when their symptoms get worse.
  • One will continue to have troublesome symptoms."

I’m hoping to make recovery. Feel fine at the moment.

Yes, those statements sound about right.

I’m hoping I can get better so I can lower my medication in the future. That would be nice.

10 years 9 undiagnosed, that means if this is true in the next 15 years I should be feeling better.

All schizophrenics have different medication needs. My medication has never been lowered because my paranoia is a danger to the general public.
