Experiencing voices silently (not audibly but perceived nonetheless) in one’s head, mimicking one’s thoughts, but they are not one’s thoughts but from another entity speaking but silently and yet with gender and tone?
I think voices can be hallucinations. As far as them being another entity, I used to think voices were spirits but I don’t know how spirits could make you hear their voices in your head. Doesn’t make any sense to me. I think voices being hallucinations is the best guess we have and the best way to combat voices is antipsychotics in my opinion.
I think I had something similar but I thought it was intrusive thoughts… They felt very loud although there was no actual voice to accompany the loud thoughts.
Definitely hallucination. I went off my meds for a while and I heard so many voices that would superimpose over each other like a broken record. That was when I realized it was a brain thing, a chemical phenomena. It was not scarry bad intented voices. It was all mixed up and voices appeared over already playing voices.
I get something like this. I hear multiple voices all at once. Sounds mostly male. No malevolency.
By definition, hallucinations are perceptions that resemble those coming from the usual 5 senses. So a “voice” that cannot be heard as if through the ears is not a hallucination. I would call them “inner” voices. They come from more or less autonomous entities in your system, which may be alter personalities or personality fragments.
