Auditory hallucinations?

I was reading about auditory hallucinations and they are described as being audible/heard, like as if someone is really talking.

This created confusion in me - my voices aren’t really audible, they are silent talking/internally perceived. Like inserted thoughts, but in sentences, not impressed images on my mind as mere thoughts are.

I do have external hallucinations like phone sounds or mumbling or murmuring, but only once in a while.

But is my voices really auditory hallucinations even though they are silent talking? It does feel like talking but with no external sound.

I made this clear to all my pdocs but they seem to think it’s still auditory hallucinations

Not sure, but it sounds like the experiences that I had in my early psychosis. The two voices were in my head, but police sirens seemed outside of my head
