Is there way to prevent schizophrenia ??

My psychosis was drug-induced. Who knows what would have happened if I hadn’t taken the drugs. Maybe I wouldn’t be sick right now.

Lead a healthy lifestyle, eat well, exercise.

The 2 biggest factors when it comes to preventing mental illness are;

Drugs and Environment.

There are ways not to jumpstart it, like avoiding weed. But other than that, there’s not really any guidelines for prevention.

Drug-induced schizophrenia seems pretty preventable.

I would have been fine if I hadn’t taken Piracetam.

I would say avoid stress but you would have to be independently wealthy to do that. Most jobs that pay well are pretty stressful.

They will probably discover a way to prevent schizophrenia before they ever discover a cure it.

I think if my parents would have cared to plan my future…like if i had a safe outlook on life…very well planned job after school…i would not have gotten sick.

I don’t think there’s a way to avoid it.
Some people might be able to delay the onset of noticeable symptoms, but I believe it’s something you have from before you were born, and that it just manifests at different times in people’s lives.

I think some people may be able to avoid it because although they are genetically predisposed they may avoid the environmental triggers that brings it out in them. Eg drugs and chronic stress
