I believe that if a person is known to have genes that cause sz, a person’s life can be ‘designed’ so that the person would not develop sz.
Idk if it can. There’s always stressors and triggers in life. Trying to prevent it itself could possibly trigger it. I hear they’re working on finding the gene so they can prevent it through some neurological procedure for those prone to sz. Probably gonna be another x amount of years.
How would one go about that? Seems an impossible task.
maybe a persons upbringing could help if it was fashioned in a certain way x
I think its fate , you can do nothing to avoid triggering it.
Yes - that is what many researchers I’ve talked to believe also. If there is known to be a higher level of risk of schizophrenia (due to family history) there are many things you can do to lower the risk of schizophrenia in family members.
This starts before birth - the woman and man can take the key vitamins (folic acid, B12, iron, iodine, choline, fish oil, etc.) that the brain seems to need and start taking these vitamins 3 to 6 months before getting pregnant - so that both the sperm and the woman’s body has all they key nutrients that the baby will need when developing.
Then keep the stress levels of the woman as low as possible during pregnancy, and keep eating a healthy mean and avoid getting the Flu (which is a big maternal stressor during pregnancy and can make the baby more likely to get schizophrenia).
Then throughout life there are many things you can do - including high EPA Omega 3 fish oil.
