Is pacing a stim?

I pace a lot during the day. At nights my legs just feel restless and I have to toss and turn… I don’t have trouble sleeping but I know how that would cause that. I don’t know if it’s from the meds. I think I’ve always had it.

A lot of people pace as a way of controlling their anxiety.
My grandad does it, and my friend with PTSD does it too. She couldn’t wait 40 minutes for a train so she walked laps around the station!

I can’t stand waiting for a bus. And I enjoy bus rides due to the movement. That’s the closes to pacing for me lol.

Idk what a stim is. I know ppl with autism do stimming.

Not sure. When I got diagnosed with Asperger’s years back, I thought masturbation was a ‘stim’ rofl. It’s probably not.

I’ve paced before with anxiety or restlessness. It’s good for losing weight and getting rid of excess energy.

I have a hard time standing still. The other day I hand stitched a pillow while pacing back and forth. I feel so restless at times like I’m crawling out of my skin.
