Is online window shopping healthy to pass time?

You know, just looking/scrolling through amazon but rarely buying

Thoughts?

I don’t see any harm in window shopping online. It just becomes problematic when it becomes “retail therapy”!

IDK, it probably makes it more likely you’ll see something you want and buy it. If you do that too much it’s a problem. But if you have enough restraint that you can window shop without buying it should be OK.

My problem is the shopping haha. Buy stuff. Amazon prime member. Stuff turns up at your door in a day or so if your lucky with where it comes from.

Still. I got a good little fermentation kit for $47 overnight delivery so going to pickly and ferment my way to digestive and mental health. Latest buy but I like the modern internet shopping. Like don’t go crazy or go beyond your means but I like internet shopping on a whim!

I don’t think it’s good mentally. If I spend more than half a hour scrolling stuff I can feel my mental state degrading.

If you think about it in essence you are sitting there craving!

Non stop desire and craving for things!

This will not bring you any peace or happiness, instead you will be in a constant state of unease as the feelings of want overwhelm you.

Each to their own, but there is no lasting joy to be found there!

I don’t really do it any more

There is just nothing I feel I need

Most of my entertainment is tv/console, laptop and a phone

And I have those

All the stuff comes from subscriptions but keep those to a minimum now

Not like the old days where you had to by games, CDs, VHS/DVDs/Blueray etc

Here now, that’s my favourie hobby.

I sometimes get an urge to shop and then I go check some websites.

It happens. But it doesn’t seem healthy to do that every day.

I do it when I have money. I’m a spendaholic though.
