Is onion allergy real?

I can’t stand the smell of onions and I vomit if I eat onions or garlic. Even when I smell onion from far away my breathing becomes harder, my eyes burn and I feel like I am going to vomit. It makes me mad.

I don’t like raw onions or garlic.
I can handle cooked onions in food in small quantities.

I can also handle dehydrated onion pieces in my food.

I think that’s more of a sensitivity than an allergy. Lots of people can’t handle onions

I like garlic but onions are definitely a no, and it’s weird cuz I’ll eat onion rings but I pulled the onion out of them, can’t stand them in any of my food but I like the flavor so like onion powder

I have some of these symptoms of onion allergy. I wish my parents would stop cooking onions especially when I am in or near the kitchen. They try to make me eat their onion and garlic food but I tell them do you want me to vomit then they stop. I also get a headache if the onion smell lasts a long time or if its strong.

My gawd- I can’t imagine food without onions and garlic.

Yeah - sounds like sensitivity > allergy.
