I read an article on science advances, that they discovered that certain gut bacteria species are correlated with schizophrenics compared to normal people. They also found that certain bacteria species population sizes were correlated with schizophrenia severity.
I’m not sure how I could target certain bacterial populations to thrive and which to minimize… doesn’t this require a more holistic diet approach? It would take more than a single molecule based drug to holistically benefit the ecosystem of bacterial populations that complex.
What diets could help this? Are specially tailored probiotic supplements still in their infancy?
Resveratrol (found in red wine, grape skin, peanuts, dark chocolate and Japanese knotweed) has just been found to increase the good stuff in the stomach.
I’ve been taking it for 4 days.
Resveratrol also increased serotonin and dopamine dramatically in 3 weeks in mice.
Thanks… but i think maybe the gut microbiome ecosystem is multifactorial. Maybe i should get a book on the microbiome diet? Eat a wider range of veggies, fruits, fiber, etc. In addition to supplements, probiotics, etc. I dunno ehich microbiome book to get.
