Is Latuda a good med?

My doc once suggested it to me

It’s not bad but I am coming off it as it’s not as effective as I would like it to be

It’s better for some than for others.
In combination with vortioxetine, it may be much more effective, if a case reports study is anything to go by.

Latuda (lurasidone) is one of the nicer antipsychotics I’ve tried, because it had no side effects, except a little nausea occasionally in the beginning. I quit it because it did not mitigate my depression, which was why I tried it.

What about Abilify?

No desirable effects, but it seemed to cause hypersalivation and (eye) accommodation disorder.

60mg Latuda has been phenomenal for me. I lost weight, no drowsiness, no side effects of any kind except what’s mentioned below. And no psychotic symptoms of any kind. I’m working 2 jobs right now thanks to Latuda. I’m social and happy. Best AP I’ve tried.

I did develop akathisia after a while but I take 75mg Trazodone at the same time as my Latuda to mitigate that and akathisia has never been a problem since I started doing that.

I’ve taken it didn’t work for me gave me tremors and restless leg syndrome at night when I was trying to sleep, I was on 60mg

I’m stable on latuda and it’s been really good.

I get insomnia, weight gain and anxiety as side effects but anxiety only comes after 4 pm when I take it and before then I’m fine.
