Hi folks. Does anyone have any experience with lurasidone? How would you rate it? Good,bad ? I would like to try it but it is still not available in my country of Croatia.

I heard it not cause sedation so it is good

Its good for positive symptoms only. There is no meds yet for negative and cognitive symptoms.
I still have strong negative symptoms on it. Plus late evening anxiety and unease. I also find myself sleeping a lot, but this could be due to the illness.
My psychiatrist told me that it causes lots of anxiety.
So it would not suit me.
I was on it for 18 months and it worked great.
Got to a point though where I could not tolerate the restlessness
I get drowsy when taking my medication (latuda and a depression medicine as well as an anti akathesia medicine) so I take it at night usually with a small meal.
I however am having a great time with it, and think that its ability to let you lose weight makes it a candidate for people to give it a shot if they’ve exhausted other options because its pretty pricey and without support it is like impossible to afford.
typical drugs gave me weight gain pretty bad muscle stiffness and akathesia so I’m a bit different. I just wish I could’ve not gained the weight, with negative symptoms its taking me a long time to go down.
