I have a lot of photography gear and own three professional digital camera bodies. Good selection of lenses, too. That being said, most of my photography is done using a mobile phone these days. It’s convenient and always in my pocket.

Honestly man, you display a tonne of symptoms of BPD (Borderline Personality Disorder). Have you ever had a doctor bring this up? BPD is a frequent co-morbidity of SZ.

Adhd can also bring passiveness and spacing out.
It doesn’t necessarily have to come with hyperactivity, but if often comes with lack of focus or being easily distracted.
But I don’t think @anon67051439 has adhd although he definitely has a lack of impulse control and emotional regulation.

I have lack of focus in some respects.
When I’m. Nervous, I jump into conversations and don’t always listen properly.
I can’t watch movies or TV shows either. Think it has to do with mild depression too

Lack of focus is a cognitive symptom of schizophrenia. It’s because of lack of dopamine in our prefrontal cortexes. The cognitive symptoms of schizophrenia are pretty simple: difficulty thinking, planning, learning new things, word recall, etc.

@anon82948922 just curious, what makes you think Aziz has symptoms of BPD? That’s quite an accusation to make.
If it’s even appropriate to ask that question.
In fact, my pdoc told me that cognitive problems are also present in other mental illnesses, it might not be ADHD. Since I got sick from negative symptoms I notice that my thoughts are weak, it’s like the mind barely works

I think the reason why most schizophrenics get diagnosed with adhd early on is because they start showing subtle signs of their cognitive symptoms years before the illness even hits (or at the start of their prodome)

And I think adhd commorbid with sz is a joke. It’s just a misdiagnosis. Because the problem concentrating in schizophrenia mimics adhd. It just doesn’t make sense to have both disorders. Adhd is barely proven as a real disorder anyways.

I used to believe in adhd diagnosis, but I smudged (is that the word?) the results to make it look like adhd to be prescribed stimulants. Not saying some kids don’t have trouble focusing, but it just seems to be a wishy washy diagnosis without much science to back it up. And it’s a way pharmaceutical companies can sell glorified meth to kids and get away with it. Saw what it did to my sister with ODD (oppositional defiant disorder) just turns her into a zombie.

I have trouble talking face to face with people, cause my flat affect just kind of gives them the wrong impression of me, and makes everything awkward. I hate how people respond to flat affect, which is the main reason why I isolate.

we don’t know if flat affect is from taking psych meds,
or the illness itself. or maybe both.
For me, it’s the illness itself. Started way sooner than I started the meds. I think it also is due to lack of dopamine in the prefrontal cortex. But also damage there too.

I had the apathy, anhedonia, poor speech and avolition before the positive symptoms appeared and well before I started taking the medications
