Things could be better in the US. I was homeless and decided not to fight the system. I getting by right now. I told my Public Defender I didn’t want to fight it, and I got a court order to go to the psychiatric hospital if they thought it was best. I got a Court order to go where they put me on meds. A lawyer sued Social Security for disability benefits on my behalf. He received a third of my back pay for his services. I didn’t have health insurance at the time, and I was legally liable for medical expenses totaling $37,000.00. I used what I got in back pay to rent an apartment, pay my mom what I owed her, and hire a lawyer to file for bankruptcy. I had little left.
Right sadasiva Greece is poor country but yet should give more.
your meds are free Om
No, i pay for them.
You don’t pay?
my injection costs 300+ euro i pay 11 euros participation each month.
u should ask about this your meds are free.
Oh I see.
I pay one euro or two for month’s meds.
Almost nothing
it’s so strange, the court order.
I had one, since I was telling my parents and Phil that this life is too hard to live.
they thought I was suicidal. no I wasn’t.
went there against my will.
to get discharged, I thought I needed to see a judge, had my daughter bring me a nice skirt and blouse,
but then the judge dropped the case, so I got a lift home from the hospital van.
Me too Judy. But my life is peaches and cream now, by the grace of God, in my later years.
thank you for sharing skinnyme. mine is still in the dumps in serious ways but somethings are ok.

Worse in USA IMO. They are hugely capitalistic and see socialism as communism from what I understand. Limited healthcare etc seems like a huge ball ache every-time you have something wrong with you.
If I ever went to Western Europe I’d know but I never have so I’ll withdraw judgement.
Doesnt us tax on dividend and capital gains?
I don’t think less people get accepted here. If you have sz where I live and apply for disability you’re approved almost immediately and there’s basically no chance for rejection. You often do have to try a work rehabilitation program first though. And the benefits and treatment opportunities are a lot better here if you haven’t had the chance to work. IDK how they compare if you have worked.
It’s worse in Eastern Europe
Yes thats absolutely true!
Sounds like they are a good 20 years behind in terms of MH issues.
