In france my country i can’t to work with my schyzophrenia and the state give me all month 970 euros to live and all my drugs and when i see my psychiatrist it’s free. Now i live with my parents, but before i had an appartement and state give me 250 euros by month for this appartment to help to pay the rent.
What is your situation in Usa ?.

Similar. But I only get 600usd because I don’t pay rent.
In my life, I had a lot of interference because people didn’t really want people to be financially independent. Then when you end up in poverty from interference, they complain about people needing financial assistance. They do have it, but I think you’re penalized in other ways, for it.
I get SSDI and I work part time. My health plan is excellent, I belong to a plan that combines the benefits of Medicare and Medicaid under one coverage. About 95% of my medical treatment is paid for by my health plan, including all my medication. When I get referred to a specialist such as my podiatrist or my dermatologist all the visits are covered under my plan.
Not only that, my plan pays me to get certain medical treatment. They have my doctor thoroughly examine me once a year and I get a $200 grocery gift card when it’s completed. I’m in the process of filling out an Advanced Directive Order and I’ll get a $50 grocery gift card for completing that. My dental is mostly covered, I get a free annual checkup and x - rays for free and some free crowns. I have excellent coverage.

I get the 600/month SS, and insurance to cover the psychologist.
(The problem with a free lunch is that you pay for it later, one way or another.)
Another problem is with the medical industry, I have been openly told by two doctors in the last 6 or so months that physicians are told to keep appointments as short as possible by their overseeing staff. The last psychologist appointment I had, was as always: unhelpful, and when I asked for more time than the 10-20 minutes given I was told “no, maybe for your next appointment (in three months).” Surprise, surprise, my sources were dead on.
This is a routine in the medical industry now. Corruption is the final state of a failing bureaucracy. Grab a good doctor and stuff him in your pocket, while you can.
Is the level of quality of professional care better in France?
I have heard that most other countries do it better than the USA.
Also is France stable? It looked to be in the midst of a quiet revolution, last I saw on the news. And that was a while ago.
Hello @anon4807860, In france the level of quality for professional of psychiatry and others professionals of health are excellents, in fact all expensure for medicine is free in france, they are many social helps in france, it’s good for me because i’m schizophren but we pay big amount of taxes in my country to pay our great social system, for example the liter of gazoline cost 1.85 euros.

It really depends and can vary by what state you live in in America. Some states have more funding and resources for the mentally ill.
A lot of us in America receive social security income or social security disability insurance (SSDI).
I’m on SSDI and I get my rent at a discounted rate because I’m under the HUD/Section 8 program.
As far as the socialization of schizophrenics into the communities here it can be up for grabs. Some people don’t show their symptoms as much as others, like talking loudly to their voices, or other eccentric behaviors, so they can fit in fine into most communities.
Other schizophrenics who become violent or act out on delusions end up in prison or long term care institutions.
There are some community centers where schizophrenics can go and socialize with each other or other mentally ill adults, but they’re more typically found in the bigger cities like New York or L.A.
