Is it possible to have a slim toned body while on AP meds?

I have found my greatest success cutting out or limiting my carb/sugar intake…similar to Atkins. Even when I’m hurting too bad to exercise (which is often) staying away from heavy/starchy carbs like breads and pastas make a huge difference. I only allow myself to eat them one day a week…like a cheat day. I basically eat whatever I want that one day a week…that way I’m not totally depriving myself and it’s easier to stick with it for longer periods of time.

It definitely is but i think for most people it is a hard slog. It is just so hard ignoring the cravings. But so long as you continue to try and persevere, i’m sure that it is possible to get to a slim, toned body.

I can loose weight on AP. Invega has been better then Olanzapin in that regard.

I used to be 160 lbs, after meds 200. I don’t eat different just metabolism gets screwed by meds. I do believe if you work out enough and the right way and eat right you can achieve what you want, but the meds have a significant impact

Is your husband a body builder or were you being sarcastic?

Everybody in my dad’s side of the family are fat anyway. I’m losing weight bc I have no food in my house. Just frozen hamburgers and veggies. And fruits.

You know healthful food is actually tasty. When you end your diet you should try stuffed grape leaves. They’re made with rice, grape leaves, spices, and olive oil. Some grape leaves are stuffed also with lamb. Eat in moderation.

Taboulee is also yummy.

Moderation is key. So easy to say so not easy to do always though lol.

Yeah, it’s possible. I’m a pretty normal weight on Vraylar. Other meds made me gain weight, but Vraylar didn’t.

I’ve had them and love them. :slight_smile:

Moderation isn’t working for me because the APs are slowing down my metabolism so much.

I got down to like 210 off meds but I need meds so I’m back up to 265.

I was 66kg last month. Now I’m 75kg.dammmmmm

It also depends on your age and genetics.

How can you possibly have the energy to workout 8-9 times a week?
