Is it ok to use words like “crazy”

Should people be able to casually use words like “psycho”, “crazy”, or “schizo”? It doesn’t really bother me, but I haven’t been officially diagnosed yet. Is it offensive?

Saying crazy is pretty normal nowadays like I heard it from my friends all the time.

Psycho and schizo bother me, but crazy doesn’t.

I call myself crazy all the time. Doesn’t bother me. I don’t really like the term psycho though because it makes people confuse “psychotic” with “psychopathic” and they’re totally different things. It also gives a general misunderstanding of what being psychotic is. Crazy is way more generalized to me and can be used in so many more ways like “that’s crazy!” Or “let’s get crazy!”

Similarly I don’t like the term schizo because it can promote ignorance.

I used to live next door to a guy who had a dog called “Schizo”. It made me a little paranoid at the time, I always felt he was referring to me whenever he spoke about his dog.

My sister and friends use psycho and crazy as insults so I was just kind of wondering. Like I said, it’s never really offended me, but I was wondering if it might bother anyone else around us

That would really freak me out! Kind of an odd name for a dog

I thought my neighbour was quite odd. No doubt he found me odd too:blush::blush:
